This article has been very difficult to write. But I wanted to let people know what is going to happen with In His Image with the undoubted new restrictions on speech that will be coming. One of the campaign promises made by Joe Biden was to pass the horribly misnamed “Equality Act” in his first hundred days in office. Given that his political party controls both houses of Congress and effectively controls all aspects of culture from the media to the church, there will be no trouble passing it. This matters because the “Equality Act” would effectively forbid anyone speaking ill of homosexuality or transgenderism, something we have done on Biblical grounds periodically. This obviously would put us in conflict with the hypothetical new law. I’m sure such an act would be litigated but litigation almost always ends up in a loss so I’m expecting it to be illegal to say it is wrong to be transgender/homosexual within the next few months. There might be a religious exemption carved out by the courts but I’m not holding my breath.
While I am pessimistic that the courts or realistically any part of our government will do the right thing, that does not mean we are going to back down. Far from it. Truth is not negotiable. The words of Scripture are true, and truth is worth fighting for, even when it costs you something. We will continue to tell the truth until such time as they drag me off to the gulag and shut down the website.
That said, we are starting to transition away from all the standard social media platforms prior to being censored, so that, if censorship happens, we have pre-built our audiences on less restrictive platforms. We are on both MeWe and Gab and will be on Parler if it ever comes back up. I would strongly suggest you follow us on those platforms. We are also looking into telegram. If you have to pick just one, I’d suggest MeWe for now as it is the most stable, but Gab is Christian owned and has its own servers so ideally I want to migrate all our content there primarily eventually.
YouTube too is starting to enter the censorship arena though not to the extent of facebook and twitter as yet. We have already started posting our content to Rumble and I strongly suggest you follow us there. We are also looking into a Bitchute account. The way 2021 is likely to go, I’m likely to end up with more social media accounts than 90% of Americans, a biting irony for someone who actively hates being social.
The primary issue we have at the moment is if wordpress decides to deplatform us. I am downloading all our old articles tonight so I have a backup but I’m still searching for a backup website hosting service. I will post on the alternative social medias once I find one. If anyone knows of one run by Christians, I’d love to hear about it.
I would encourage Christians to start taking measures like this in preparedness for the wave of persecution that is going to be coming. If you are a pastor or an elder in a church, I would suggest taking steps to find someone to fill the pulpit in case you get arrested for saying something the new order does not like. (For those who think it can’t happen, Ontario Canada is arresting anyone who dares OPEN their church, never mind what is said in it). And whatever you do, don’t back down from the truth.
We are headed into a dark time for our country, and the world. In times of darkness, what is needed is light. Lots and lots of light. However, men do not like light. In fact, John 3:19 says that men love darkness. In a culture that is paganizing quickly, realize that the pagans are going to love darkness and attempt to force their darkness on everyone by snuffing out the light. So my word of encouragement is, do not stop proclaiming the Light of men, Jesus Christ to the darkness. It’s probably going to cost something, For some people, it may cost everything. But truth is always worth telling, particularly when it has the power to rescue the souls of men.
