Letter to an Abortion Supporter

Note this article is outside my usual style but I thought it would be an appropriate expression of what I would say to an abortion supporter given a chance.

Dear person who passed me on the highway,

You will never meet me. We’ll never have a conversation face to face. But you made it clear on the back of your car, exactly where you stand.  “I stand with Planned Parenthood” your bright pink bumper sticker proclaimed loud and clear.  This clear statement of fact made me think. It made me wonder if you knew what you were standing with.

I wonder if you understand exactly what Planned Parenthood stands for? I wonder if you know that Planned Parenthood was founded as a eugenics movement meant specifically to wipe out African-Americans? I wonder if you know that you are supporting an organization dedicated to the formation of a master race and the elimination of purported inferior races? I wonder if you know that a disproportionate number of babies aborted are from minority parents?

I wonder if you understand exactly what abortion is? I wonder if you know that some babies are chopped to pieces with scalpels in the womb? I wonder if you know some babies are pulled apart by suction? I wonder if you that some babies are pulled out and impaled in the head? I wonder if you know how many women die every year as the result of a botched abortion? I wonder if you know how many infants are born during such a botched abortion and then left to die from exposure? I wonder if you know that Planned Parenthood trafficks in infant body parts for research? I wonder if you know some aborted babies are chemically burned to death?

I wonder if you know that abortion is not about a woman’s right to choose? I wonder if you know the fetus is more than just a clump of cells? I wonder if you know that the baby is not part of a woman’s body? I wonder if you know that murder is never convenient? I wonder if you know that science demands that life begins at conception?

I wonder if you know that traffickers use Planned Parenthood to hide their crimes? I wonder if you know that child molesters frequent Planned Parenthood clinics to cover up for their wickedness? I wonder if you know how many of the Planned Parenthood clinics have been cited for health code violations? I wonder if you know how many times abortion clinics have failed to follow the law regarding reporting potential child abuse? I wonder if you know how many times Planned Parenthood had been caught covering for suspected abusers?

I wonder if you know that Planned Parenthood provides almost no women’s healthcare, despite their claims to the contrary? I wonder if you know that Planned Parenthood is openly political yet takes government funds? I wonder if you understand that the dollars you spent on the bumper sticker are being used to murder infants in the womb?  I wonder if you know that Planned Parenthood promotes vulgar sex-ed to children? I wonder if you know that they produce vulgar public advertising where children can see?

I wonder if you know all these things.  If you do not, these are all easily verifiable.   These are all things that Planned Parenthood has done in the name of abortion.  I ask you if these are things you can support.  If they are not, and I suspect for many they are not, then you do not stand with Planned Parenthood.

If you do know all these things, then I ask you, why do you still stand with Planned Parenthood? Is it because you want abortion on demand? If that is so, I must ask why? Is a child so inconvenient to you, so unwanted that they must be killed? Why is abortion still so appealing? Why do you stand with Planned Parenthood when, if given the option, they wouldn’t have let you live to stand at all?

I say all of the above in a spirit of genuine concern and care, for both for the mother and baby. I want mothers and fathers to understand what abortion entails so they can recognize that abortion is never the best option for their child. Life is never worse than death, no matter what that life entails.
